A Fonsagrada to O Cadavo - Walking on sunshine

I’m walking on sunshine, and it’s time feel good! What a beautiful day to walk higher (and lower) in mystic wilderness. The climbs and dips in topography were nothing compared with the natural wonders, friendship,  and quirks of the path.
The day begins - a regular departure from the albergue

and down the hill for breakfast with the locals.
Then the sun began to rise…
The breakfast tostada, cafe con leche, and croissant lifted me above the inclined path. I looked around and found I was above mist.
The woods beckoned.
On the plateau was a chapel where a kind (multi-lingual) gentleman was offering freshly squeezed orange juice and hot pressed wax stamps, which showed

a medieval cross, symbolic of the 14th century pilgrim hospital next door.
Sunshine, silence and shadows and sacred practices of times past.
Abruptly disrupted by a (insert your collective noun here) of electric bikers. ‘What! You can do this on a bike! That’s ridiculous, man.’ No seriously - the Camino is for everyone.
Shortly after, a morning tea break of reunification took place where friends from days past met new walking companions.

Still there is often someone on the outside- feeling left out, or not wanting to join in, or perhaps feeling aloof - who knows? There’s a story here … for later.
Refreshed and reenergised . . ,
It was up the hill once more.
Pilgrim companions find it hard to resist a photo opportunity.
Walking up hill, you spend lots of time looking at the floor - there is beauty there too.
Reaching the summit is always a relief - and mostly a joy.

Then there is the downward path to the destination - which can stretch on forever.
Until the blue dot ๐Ÿ”ต on the Camino app says you have arrived.
This was a day filled with happiness. Sure, there were times of challenge but far more times of friendship and beautiful vistas. It was like walking on sunshine ๐ŸŽถ
