Santander to Boo - Walk Between the Raindrops
I was planning to go a little further today but rain interrupted play. It was pouring this morning and I thought it best to delay a while. Then showers cleared and I was on my way— through the urban landscape of Santander
I looked down occasionally and found these helpful
Most of this area of the inner city was destroyed by fire in the 1940s and has been remodelled- it was a pleasant walk
Then come the freeways and the industrial zones - all part of the Camino for me
Finally made it to grass and earth but not for long.
On the hilly outskirts I came across this mural- reminding me of where I’d been & how far I had to go
Not long after, clouds gathered and the village of Boo de Pielagos came into view - and it had an albergue. So I decided to stop, stay dry and take it easy for the afternoon.
It was bleak and raining again.
I already ordered the ‘menu del dia’ for 7pm at the bar next door (same business 😉-“no card- just cash” )
The meal was shared with a French family and Swiss and Netherlands Camino friends.
I’m happy I made the decision to stop early and walk between the raindrops today ☔️
You'll know what to do!! N
